79. I am a big guy, and don't mind it.

I'm not that chunky (dressed), but have a broad frame/shoulders and sizable chest (again, dressed, I look like a football player; undressed, Doughboy City). I'm only 5'9", but definitely have "presence."

Numerous people over the years have referred to me as "big guy," incuding the hot blonde conservative Christian boy in college who always greeted me with that cheery salute. (My mental response: "Wanna see HOW big, angelface?")

I take it as a compliment--it's not "Fatso" or something similarly insulting. I think it's more an expression of admiration of someone's solidness/masculinity. (Let's face it, you can't use the phrase "big girl" or "big gal" to a woman as a compliment, no matter how well intended.)

I just call them little guy. That usually stops it.
