We Have Ferocious Stealth Mosquitoes! The Tiger Mosquito (I Think).

They look like any other mosquito, except that they've got little white stripes on them. They are very tiny and delicate little things, so you never feel them land on your skin. Their little suckers are so fine and thin that you never feel any pain whenever they pierce your skin.

Unless you actually see the little fuckers land on you... they are already gone before it starts to itch. And BOY DOES IT ITCH!!

They are more aggressive and harder to control than ANY mosquito I've ever seen... anywhere! Even in Florida. --- I just took the dog outside for a quick diddle... and in less than two minutes, I had been bitten four times!!

Even our Mosquito Magnet mosquito trap doesn't control them. They are too smart for that. They won't go near the thing.

1. yep

they're oblivious to mosquito magnet and most insecticide. Try the new "cutter" line - it has a different active ingredient (smells kind of like coffee) that seems to work better than DEET.

Also, cultivate bats & dragonflies if you can since they love to eat skeeters.

2. We have those too. But they are nothing compared to

the mosquitoes in the delta. I guess it has to do with the river or something. But they are huge and there are tons of them. You can't stand outside at night for more than a few seconds, I swear. You must apply some repellent.

3. My first encounter with those beast was when I lived in Houston

I was at a 4th of July party and at dusk they swarmed from a nearby bayou. It was as if they knew I wasn't a native and wanted fresh meat, they ate me alive in a matter of minutes. :scared:
