Guitar players: How many and what kind do you have?
I have four:

a Rickenbacker 330 (my favourite),
a Rickenbacker 325 V12, 1963 Lennon reproduction limited edition (#99 of 136),
a Washburn D-12 acoustic with electric pickup,
a Fender acoustic bass with electric pick-up.

All I want for my birthday or Christmas is a Vox Valvetronix amp.

8. How old is your Strat?
A friend of mine bought a blonde one in '74 and still has it. He doesn't play it anymore as he considers it a collector's item. :(

30. Brand new a year ago.
It's nominally my wife's. She reveres Gilmour above all others, and demanded nothing less than a real Strat. She hardly plays it, though, and hasn't touched the bass.

6. both kind!
Les Paul and a Stratocaster.

Les Paul is a studio model I tinker with occasionally.

Fender is a 1970's reissue with the David Gilmour EMG series pickups & electronic mods. That's my main axe.

17. I mostly just use them onstage
they are bulletproof and sound great amplified, even in a (loud) band situation.

19. La Patrie classical (Canada), Montalvo Flamenco Negra (Mexico)
Matt Raines 7-string nylon (made in Japan), Ibanez 7-string solid body AX7221 (Korea), Aslin Dane Peter Rogine Jazz Model (Korea), Fender Strat (Mexico), Gibson Flying V (U.S.A.), Kay vintage archtop (U.S.A.).

My main axe these days is the Montalvo Flamenco, a very versatile guitar. I use a Schertler Swiss-made transducer on it and run it through an Ultrasound amp. Most of what I play now is fingerstyle jazz on nylon strings.

I hope that some day my younger relatives (I have no children) have such luck with my old guitars. But, I doubt a Ricky would go for as much as a Les Paul.

It was autographed by Les himself.

It paid for a semester of tuition for college. Sad...
