Happy 113th Birthday To WILLIAM POWELL!!
One of my favorite actors! He's a delight to watch in the Thin Man movies. I also loved him in Love Crazy, I Love You Again, and Libeled Lady.

2. I loved him in My Man Godfrey
with Carole Lombard. And that Carlo the monkey imitator was hilarious too. :)

4. Also the ship's doctor in Mr. Roberts...
Turner Classic had a wonderful farce he did with Myrna Loy in the 1940s...(forgotten the title) He was a smalltime crook who had gotten hit in the head in the 1920s, got amnesia, started a new life as a banker and married Loy, then ran into a former crony , recovered his memory--but couldn't remember anything about his lfie as a banker.

7. That Delightful Movie You're Describing Is Called "I Love You Again"...
... and it's one of my favorites. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys light-hearted comedy farce. Fun stuff!

6. Happy Birthday, Mr. Powell
One of my favorites when I was a kid, especially when he was teamed with Myrna Loy in the Thin Man movies. Imagine my shock when my older sister brought home The Anarchist's Cookbook authored, I thought, by him.

11. That Photo Really Captures Part Of His Personality...
... it's similar to something he does in almost every one of his movies. You know... that double-take gesture where something catches his attention, then he looks away, squints, then cuts his eyes to the side, and finally looks back with a WIDE eyed expression.

12. Yes, it really does.
And it's just a lovely headshot - I love the sepia tint. I collect old movie photos, so I have a special appreciation. :D
