Three years previously we finished 4-6. We're hoping for a breakthrough this year. We play in NCAA Division 3. I play at Louisiana College. We play in the American Southwest conference.

Sure our website says it's a Christian liberal arts college, but don't let that fool you. I've heard stories where fundie parents wouldn't let their kids go here. So all in all, it's not too bad :) . BTW, our religion dept. kicks total ass. You can actually learn something their! The professors don't treat it literally. They try to put across possibilities about were a particular story came from. Well, one professor does argue that the book of Kings and Chronicles are correct by the lineage of the ruler of Israel and whatever the name of the southern kingdom was.

I'm pretty new, I'm from MN, and I like Italian food.. :) I like to run, play the piano, and read. I'm also interested in classical dance, astrology, and other cultures. On weekends I travel, lots of times to the North East, I love Boston and NYC! Lucky for me, I work in aviation and I get pretty nice travel benefits. I used to be a Flight Attendant and every once and a while an airline thread will come up and I'll rant and rave about not liking the job.

I joined DU b/c many people in aviation are very, um, pro-asshole aka Republican (don't ask me why, you'd think pilots would be pro-union). I couldn't really stand it so I needed a little Democrat outlet for myself to vent and realize I'm not alone! :)

60. not new to the site, just a new poster

I've been around the site for awhile and just recently decided to go ahead and register so that I can finally add my 2 cents if I ever desire.
I'm 23, married, with a houseful of pets. 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a few truckloads of fish.
I work full time and still can barely afford health insurance (thanks, Dubya) but I enjoy my job at the bank and am finally getting on towards making it a career. Who knows, maybe I'll take my boss up on her offer to get into loans/lending. (More $$$?)

My husband's a full time college student (aiming for politcal science but also a banker) and works nearly full time. Hopefully only 2 years to go!
I'm trying to talk him into having a little rug rat in a year or two, he's trying to talk me into cleaning the house more often. :)

I'm always willing to answer any questions, but am not that great at just talking about myself. So, if there's anything in particular you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask.

Oh yeah, we're stuck here in the Bible Belt of Kansas; even as Christians---which nearly everyone claims to be here--- we hate it because...well, there aren't many other intelligent people here (most of them voted for Bush because they LIKE him :puke: )

61. Ok. I've been hanging out for a *little* while so maybe you've seen me...

But here's the scoop:

I've been lurking/reading DU for about 9 months or so and finally posted when Andy passed--I felt like after reading about all he and other DU'ers had done it wouldn't be right not to offer condolences to people here. So I did and since then I've been posting pretty regularly here.

I'm in Wisconsin, I'm a lady, and I love reading and yelling at the TV, (primarily at the Today show but also at Russert and other members of the punditocracy). I'm a writer but haven't written much lately. I also do some graphic design, drawing, and photography.

Fun Fact: In kindergarten I was the only kid in my class to vote against Reagan in our mock election and was scolded by my teacher who said "Don't you know that Reagan is going to win?"

Oh, also, generally when I post I'm just making some kind of goofy/funny comment so don't take my posts super-literally all the time. You will, however, know when I'm being serious.
