we are going to buy one any minute now -- seriously, we are going out to make the deal later today and hopefully have the whole transaction done by the end of the weekend.

my husband and i love cars and have a bmw 3-series convertible -- b/c we got a silly good deal on it, it only had 5,000 miles, and it was a chance to have a sporty german car.

guess what -- we can't stand it. we hate driving this expensive gas guzzler while people are dying over oil. we can't stand that the people who would approve of this car are generally people who, we would have nothing in common with. it's wrong, wrong, wrong.

so, discussion was HYBRIDS. we've driven the Insight and love the zippiness. prius and civic -- not so much. prius is slow and boring. civic is boring. no kids, no need for four seats. love the hatchback. anyone have any experience like this? anyone else thinking about hybrids b/c of the war?

i really can't wait. it feels i've had a bad haircut for way too long, and i'm finally getting it taken care of. :)

I had to buy something reliable in the interim, and I TOO bought a BMW at a firesale price (the guy couldn't afford the insurance and the payment). If things ever turn around for our small business, I will buy the insight. The test drive was thrilling...soooo quiet. Congratulations! D ; )

too bad green costs so much damn green. there's silly upcharges on the insight over msrp -- arg. also very tired of dealers saying the same thing: they've got those out in california. not much call for 'em 'round here.
