Cemetery Purse Snatcher Sentenced To Five Years In Prison

A man who admitted to stealing purses from mourners at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park was sentenced to five years in prison Friday, NewsChannel5 reported.
Brian McCauley said he stole the money to support his heroin habit.

Police staked out the cemetery for months to make the arrest. They said they found purses, credit cards and cell phones in McCauley's car.

McCauley said he got the idea from his brother when their father died.
