did anyone else have a sucky week?
Or was it just me?

One of the three or four worst weeks of my life.

Sometimes you wonder why fucking bother.

You can't even live and let live anymore without someone cutting off your charlies and frying them up like a couple of catfish fillets.

3. I had an odd week
Usually, at work I'm falling asleep at my desk, I'm an AutoCAD tecnician so it's close work all day.

This week I've had hardly any sleep, well nowhere near as much as usual and have felt great.

Every day I have to get up ay 7.30, Tuesday night I was up until 4am, wednesday night 1.30am and last night 3.30am I usually like to be in bed by 11pm at the latest.

Strange huh?

10. sorry for your week
I'm in mid-divorce and this week was really awful--rancorous court stuff making it harder and harder for the soon-to-be-ex and me to keep things civil and uncontested.

I just attended the closing on the sale of an amazing piece of property (10 beautiful acres in the mountains with a great view of the city) where it had been my dream to build. Another dream dead thanks to the divorce.

I just cleared out the computer/play space with my daughters who are moving to their mom's new place. We found all these amazing games and toys and movies and stuff that we have done together for pretty much their whole lives. And now they will be spending a major part of their lives under a roof other than mine. I can't stop choking up. I don't think Ive ever been this sad.

Too many other things to list.

It was a bad, bad week.

I don't drink anymore, but if I did, this would be a very wet weekend.

20. Divorces are rough.
 Your week was definately worse than mine.

I had a really hard time when my parents got divorced. And my mom was in your boat, we ended up living with our dad. She had a lot of problems with that and it ended up creating some problems between us because she thinks that I ended up loving my dad more than her, which is not true. It's really tough, and I'm sorry you have to go through all that.

25. Well the worst part about it for me
was the way they used me against each other. They didn't even mean to do it, but they did, and that resulted in most of the bad feelings we all have for each other now. Just try your best to avoid doing that to your kids and they'll be okay.

We both swear we won't.

My parents divorced (about a hundred years ago), but my dad was not really part of our lives. My mom had no qualms about dissing the old man. Truth is, he probably deserved it.

you can't help but stumble over all the threads once in awhile

but to have the kids in court? that's just not right.

5. let's see
On Monday morning I found a co-worker died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday.

Monday night we find out a friend of ours died in his sleep the previous Thursday.

Tuesday night my partner learns that an old childhood friend died

My boss's wife is pregnant and there are complications - so he hasn't been into work all week and ISO inspection is in 2 weeks -- nothing has been done to prep for it because the boss's wife is in charge of that (she works part time handling ISO stuff)

so yeah - this week sucks big time

although there is one bright note - my poison ivy is clearing up

15. It sucks that you have to do that.
You must be exhausted.

I've been working three or four jobs for some time until the one that paid the most laid me off, my own startup business failed and one other one dried up. Now unemployment has failed to pay me for seven out of eight weeks due to clerical and computer errors.

There is no frigging money in this repuke economy.

I don't feel like my life is worth a trickle-down dime right at the moment.

But I'll be thinking of your struggles! Hang in there! And definitely find time for that shower! ;-)

19. I'll find time somehow!
Five years ago I was doing ok. Not wealthy but making a living wage from one job and I had decent benefits. Not now. Now I have to work two jobs and whore myself out for an occasional side job (server for a caterer, spring cleaning, etc) and still can't get by.
I guess I can be happy that it's not three jobs.

21. five years ago I had one great career job
I was extremely good at it. My family and financial situation was great. Then the bushturd and Cheney started talking about how bad the economy was going to get. Then they executed the Coup of 2000 and made it a reality. When you can't support the family, everything goes to hell.

Since then, it has been a downward spiral that I just can't get out of.

you keep plugging.

48. Poor's not the worst thing ever
but I grew up poor. I never planned on my daughter doing the same. Actually, I'm worse off than my parents were (which seems nearly impossible). They didn't work as many hours as I do now. And they did have health insurance (we weren't allowed to use it because they didn't like the deductable and they didn't believe in doctors most of the time) while I don't. And there are no jobs in my area that are paying any better right now.

Financial issues, and general stress due to having a job I love, but not enough money to justify keeping it.

Just bills, bills and more bills. Outrageous gas prices. Argh, everything piling in to the point that my head is going to explode.

stick with it. Is the job one that could eventually pay off? Or is it something you could do as a labor of love if you had another job to pay the bills? I've been there. It seems unfair sometimes.

Coughing, stuffed up, body aches, hot/cold flashes, and fever. My unemployed husband had it the week before and I must have caught it from him. While my husband slept most of his first three days with the disease, when it was severe, I had to go to work. I don't have sick pay, and make both too much and too little to miss days off of work. Luckily, I am starting to feel better. I did really feel like shit earlier in the week though.

Thankfully we don't have kids, so it will be pretty clean. However, I have to sell off my house in a very cool neighborhood and am moving across town so I don't bump into her anywhere social, because right now I don't want to have anything to do with her passive-aggressive emotionally abusive ass.

Except for that sucky kidney infection and the ensuing pain and 104 degree fever that made me go through all these various pokes and tests before they decided that I don't need to get admitted to the hospital, but just take some powerful oral anti-biotics. Seems to be working so far. (Knock wood.)
