I was just in BlockBuster Video, and saw something that at first glance
was VERY uplifting.

It was Office Space, in the New Releases section. Puzzled, I looked into it more, it was in the "Watch the originals before the sequels come out" section. I thought, "Dayum! An Office Space sequel!??! - Kick - fucking - Ass!"

:bounce:

Then about 5 steps down the aisles later I realized it'll probably suck balls..

In case you're wondering, I rented Halo2

1. Mike Judge says he refuses to make any sequals to Office Space

2. That's what I figured in the store
There's probably no way that he'd be any part of it.

And there's my confirmation, it's an internet confirmation I must take with a grain of salt (no offense intended) but there it is.

3. I think they're re-releasing it or something
I went to IMDB to see if there was a sequel (not from Mike Judge - he won't do another) and there was a link for showtimes. That link is only there if a theater is showing the movie

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0151804/

Mind you it was one theater out in Oregon, but could they be doing a re-release?

4. Ok, found this on the IMDb boards
First - special edition of Office Space is being released later this August

Second, if you were at a blockbuster - they're doing a display of movies related to summer releases and Office Space is there with the original Herbie & Willy Wonka movie

Also, there IS a movie coming out in September sorta related to Office Space but only because it's based on Shenigans (the restaurant where Jennifer Anniston worked) http://imdb.com/title/tt0348333/combined

Mike Judge DOES have a new movie coming out but it's nothing related to Office Space: http://imdb.com/title/tt0387808/combined

Most of the information I found was at the IMDB boards for Office Space. A bunch of Blockbuster employees posted

and not diss a sequel that doesn't exist.

PS: I hate King of the Hill. I hate rednecks, even cartoon rednecks.
I miss Beavis and Butthead.
