My computer speaker started talking chinese to me, what should I do?

I swear this is true, and it ain't the first time either. Every now and then, like for example about two minutes ago, the speakers on my computer start picking up some signal or other and start squawking at me in a foreign language, chinese currently. Its like totally bizarre. I can't tell if it is shortwave radio or cell phone traffic. Spooks me out every time it happens.

11. That used to happen to my dad

He lived near the TV station tower and his computer would pick it up. He also used a voice recognition program and if he left it on to do something when he came back he had pages of written transcription.

It was pretty creepy becasue it wrote out things that didn't set well, kind of like the book of revelations stuff.

I hear hushed voices speaking other languages, but not when the computer is on... as I fall asleep some nights. Personally, I think my problem might be more serious ;)

9. after booting up the OS (Windows?) or before?

Spoken error messages are a questionable , yet frequent, feature of PC mainboards.
As most manufacturers are Taiwanese, the default language tends to be Chinese. So, if your PC speaks Chinese during booting up, that seems to be the most likely reason. (either that, or a Chinese spy hideout).

I recognize my motherboard bios voice: she tells me everything is ok on a regular basis. This happens out of the blue while the pc is up and running. It is clearly an antennae effect of some sort that is pulling in some signal or other. I'm just curious what signal it could be. I mean I don't live in a location that would have a lot of chinese people using cell phones.

My speakers, when active with power can pick up a clicking cellphone ping signal that my cellphone is calling out, but it's never speech.

There is a strong radio signal near you and the speaker wires(prolly) are picking up the signal and transmitting it to the speakers.

I like live in the exurbs and there isn't much of anything near me that qualifies as a 'strong radio signal' source, at least that I know of. I barely have cell phone reception.

I dunno man. It's probably a Chinese neighbor with a ham radio or a CB on steroids or something along those lines.

I used to share a duplex with a total redneck freeper who had over a fucking KILOWATT of CB power. He had antennas on the roof 30+ feet high. Bled into the phones, tv's and stereos of people half a block away. I would be listening to very loud music over headphones at 3am and out of nowhere "BREAKER BREAKER!! SKIP LAND SKIP LAND!!" and all this other stupid mumbo jumbo would give me a coronary. Finally one day the FCC came and did... something, but that didn't stop him completely. I was pleased to move.
