True Believers are going to play a show this Fall!
Thursday, September 1, 2005 Antone's Austin TX True Believers/ Los Lobos! Bonus getting to see Los Lobo in an intimate setting.

What a show that will be. I can't be there and full disclosure causes me to say I am not affiliated with either band. If you have a chance to see this set, don't miss it. I believe this set is also a benefit show for an ailing Austin musician.

The True Believers only get together to play every once and so often; a mere handful of times in the past 15 years, but they are incredible. They have three very talented lead guitars; Alejandro Escevedo, his brother Javier Escevedo (their sister is Shelia E. of Prince fame and two brothers were long-time Santana collaborators) and extraordinary singer-songwriter player Jon Dee Graham.

1. I thought
the true believers were gonna experience the Rapture this fall.

But what the hell do I know?

3. I'll probably miss it, but that would be an awesome show.

4. See it if you can
they were back together in 2002 and recordings of that show proved they only got better as time passed. They weren't alway as tight as they may have been in late '86 or early '87 but certainly more skilled and just as enthusiastic.

Things like this make me miss TX.
