Poll question: SAY 50th ranch trip in four years with a straight face? CAN YOU?

WASHINGTON (AP) - Following the Congress in a midsummer exodus, President Bush plans a Texas ranch respite for several weeks, while Supreme Court nominee John Roberts has August to think about Senate confirmation hearings.

White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Friday that Bush will leave after signing into law the Central American Free Trade Agreement that Congress gave final approval to earlier this week.

It will be the president's 50th trip to the ranch since he was elected nearly five years ago.

McClellan said Bush looks forward to being able to ``shed the coat and tie'' at his more casual home near the small town of Crawford, Texas. Bush plans to travel to seven states from the ranch and hold at least 10 events to tout his agenda, including the war on terror and his economic priorities.

Ok I admit it I FR'd this poll :) just to be a twit :)

What amazed me yesterday was the lame attempt at spinning the accomplishments of a "supposed lame duck president" that Scotty was lieing about on Friday's press conference. All in advance of the ranch trip, and to trumpet the successes of the Bush whitehouse, and to try lamely to lessen the political fallout of the upcoming bolton recess nomination.

Then, to my amazement I heard 4 other talking heads last night use the same phraseology about "accomplishments" of a "supposed lame duck president" More Grover Norquist/Karl Rove talking points, in advance of more executive branch thuggery.

2. I always give cowardly lurking freeps an option in this kind of poll
I mean, how lonely must it be to be luring around DU like a coward, wishing that they could be at the Crawford Pig Farm with their hero instead...listening to all of the "DUmmies" (their HILARIOUS nickname for US) say TRUE things about him like:

1). He cried to his daddy so he wouldn't have to die in Viet Nam, and when daddy got him into the TANG, he just stopped showing up

2). He can CALL himself a "Christian." So can ANYONE who can pronounce the word "Christian."

3). "Clean and sober and reborn" since his forties? My ASS!

...etcetera, etcetera, ET-CET-ER-AH.

3. I thought that war was over and we have a new war on extremism
"including the war on terror and his economic priorities. " I guess he didn't read the memo

I'll only vote on number 2 on Sunday, which is a "church a going day"
