Went to NHRA National drags in Sonoma yesterday: US ARMY sucks
What a disgusting & (expensive) midway style "fun zone" they provide to attract young hard bodied, motor-heads into the clutches of their recruiters. And of course their dragster, drunk with tax payer's $$$$ was low qualifier.

Their jet dragster raced an airplane.

They had beefed up, chromed out Humvees with 1000 watt sound systems and gung-ho paintjobs.

I'm a motorhead, so I leaned over the open hood to see what they were working on there and joked to the one soldier: "I can see why you enlisted...look at these cool trucks!"

He stiffened noticebly and replied: "Sir!...our field vehicles don't have this equipment."

I guess they got a stern warning on deceptive recruiting.
