7. Nine, by my count.
Canada, UK, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Swizterland, Italy, and Greece. Ten, if you count a layover in Madrid where I never saw the outside of the airport, and eleven if you count the US, where I live.

20. Oh, I almost forgot...
...I also had a layover in the Azores where I never got off the plane, so that brings the total to twelve, if you really want to stretch it.

19. Monaco is small - but I think it has a UN seat
it's own flag and its own constitution. Although the U.S. doesn't maintain an embassy there, I believe they recognize it as a separate country. Although it's small, there are extremely wealthy people who live there and citizenship is very hard to acquire. They have no income tax as far as I know.

25. What astounded me was the cleanliness
The streets and buildings were immaculate. The casino although quite old looked like something from a movie set. Even the zoo was spotless and the Prince's vast car collection on display in a museum was pristine. There's an entire neighborhood with American corporations and businesses. I went on a job interview with a law firm in an office building and everyone inside, in the halls and elevators was speaking American English. I think Monaco is where the jazz-rock guitarist John MacLaughlin lives.

37. Not nearly enough....
Canada, many times.
Brazil, many times.

Once each:
Mexico
Scotland (UK)
Northern Ireland (UK)
Ireland
France
the Netherlands
Belgium
Germany (I was just two years too late to be able to count West and East as two....but then I probably couldn't have gone to East Germany except the bits we passed through to get to Berlin)

And yes, I have been to Scotland and Ireland but not England. It was a very convoluted backpacking/hitch-hiking route we took...Hope to remedy that someday soon.
