3. There are 50 articles about 50 ways we can get active.

The articles are divided into five chapters, with introductions by Al Gore, Gail Sheehy, and others.

For example Chapter 4, titled Political Action Is Personal, includes an intro by Nancy Pelosi, and articles on seeking elected office, volunteering for campaigns, and so forth, written by people who have actually done just that. For example, an article about writing a letter to the editor, was written by someone who got an LTTE published in the paper.
