How far would you travel to see a concert?
I would travel to Dallas or to Birmingham, and probably to Memphis or Orlando, to see a good concert.

In other words, at the max, I'd drive 10 hours to see a band I REALLY want to see.

I've never driven more than four hours to a concert, though.

How far would you drive to see a band you really want to see? How far have you driven to do so?

2. 3 hours or so.
I've driven to Houston from San Antonio before. That's my limit. Maybe I'd go to Dallas which is closer to 4 hours. Thankfully, with a lot of major cities within driving distance, I can catch just about any show. But then I tend to like smaller acts that actually come to Austin. :)

15. Denton to Austin I'll do once or twice a year.Seen Steve Earle and
Neko Case so far this year. They were both in Dallas the night before so I could have seen them there but I need a reason to get to Austin every now and again.

Farthest I've gone was to Seattle last year where I saw Steve Earle with his bluegrass lineup at the Woodland Park Zoo Amphitheatre. Well, I was there for almost three weeks so I didn't go there just to see the show but it was a nice evening before going to the San Juans.

Got some vacation time I need to use or lose along with some bucks I need to spend before November in my Travelocity account so I may go to San Francisco to see the two day Hardly Bluegrass Festival in October in Golden Gate Park.Awesome lineup and it's a FREE event.

17. I've gone 3 hours away a lot
That would be my limit for most shows. I'd manage to drag myself down to LA, an 8 hour drive away, for something really special.

18. My 1st apartment was 2 blocks from Fillmore West
My current condo is two blocks from the San Jose arena. I saw so many concerts at the first place (admission $3.00) that I won't walk two blocks to see another one.(admission $300.00 +-)

22. That depends on who's playing.
I'd drive a thousand miles to see David Bowie in concert. Furthest I HAVE driven, though, was about 450 (from Atlanta to Clarksdale, Mississippi, for a blues fest last year and the year before).
