Behold: the King (cat photo)
So, having worked long and hard for many months, I finally bought myself the red leather chair of my dreams. I've admired this chair for a long while, spent months nurturing visions of cozying up in it with my laptop or a good book. I finally caved in and bought it, and ordered the black and white cowskin throw. Brought it home, tossed the throw onto it, and situated my beautiful new red chair in the perfect spot in the living room, between the fireplace and the French doors to the patio.

Brewed a cup of tea and ran upstairs to retrieve "The Dharma Bums." Returned to find my beautiful new chair occupied.

Behold, the King. :eyes:

but it takes me only about 30 seconds to walk upstairs and back down again. I think this is Ginger's method of shooing _me_ away. :hi:

Some cats have that god-like look as if they are taking notes to punish you in the afterlife. Then you see them pooping in their litter and then you come to your senses. Or should you? lol

Everyone thinks he's Siamese, but he's not. His mom is a gray housecat and his dad was a wild black and white who lived in the woods near our house. Here's a Ginger's brother (my sister-in-law's cat). There's definitely a difference in, um, regal carriage, don't you think?

I've now got a bruise on my chin from my jaw dropping and hitting the floor. That is a Christmas/Holiday greeting card worthy picture. Beautiful cat and beautiful chair, btw. I grew up thinking a siamese cat was my mother, believe it or not. Long story. Her name was Pawacket (spelling?). She hated all other kids, but would bite my mother's ankles if she didn't come check on me fast enough when I woke up in my crib. She saved me from a water moccasin too when I was little. She was very protective. I love siamese cats.

52. Oh, bertha . . .
sadly, gf, "luggage" (sort of like "caramel") was the color I _really_ wanted, but this store didn't have it. The up side is that the chair matches my red leather dining room chairs.

It doesn't matter anyway. All the chairs, inside and outside, are Ginger's, from here to eternity. And _no_, I'm not being melodramatic . . . just the voice of experience.

(I can sit in the chair at the computer desk, but only in summer. Ginger _loves_ this chair in winter. :eyes: )

I'm sorry you didn't get exactly what you wanted. I did, and I love it. The matching couch, however, was romped on by two fun-loving kittens before we had the alarms and covers etc. in place, so it has been well character marked. We expected that to happen, just not so soon. At least they have not attempted to turn the corners into scratching posts.

Every surface in every household belongs to the cats. They just let us borrow them. :D
