Okay... I've really hit the sordid underbelly now...
I'm watching a Ronco(tm) Showtime(tm) cutlery infomercial...

and I'm enjoying it!

For my next trick I'll watch Fox News and believe everything
I hear.

Yes, my mind has slipped away...

Slip sliding awaaaaay! Oh, slip sliiiding awaaay...

*blip*

1. my former college roommate loved infomercials
He'd watch them all the time. He also collected desiccants. Other than that he was really normal. Way normal than I ever have been.

2. Did he have a "Solid Food Injector(tm)"?
Pretty intriguing device... Really.

I could inject pimentos into pork chops!

Imagine the possibilities!

funny, my younger brother was watching that same one a few months ago, and he was trying to get me to buy that, haha.

7. Those people in the audience are so... so... HAPPY!
I'd be happy too, if only I had a set of Showtime(tm)
cutlery.

There's that one rather large man in the crowd who's
particularly happy... I suppose he has the rotisserie
oven too.

6. My former boss used to write "or implant" after the "Do not eat" on
bags of desiccants.

We had hundreds of them around due to the fact we
were buying tons of electronic equipment at that time.

Dang, if I would've known I could have sent them (at
bulk rates) to your room mate.

9. We had enough to dry one of the minor Great Lakes...
Or we could've looked for "Nessie" at Loch Ness.

Desiccant, hwah... Who needs it?

10. Honestly, have you ever *seen* a 5 lb. bag of desiccant?
I have... and I'm scarred for life from
the experience.

Normally, it's only those sugar packet sized
bags... Tucked away in the pocket of clothing
bought at a better retail store. Along with an
"Inspected by: #4" tag.

(Aside: That #4 is certainly a busy person.)

These things had heft and they'd utterly dry
up a soda from across the room.

12. I wonder if a set of "Showtime(tm)" cutlery would come with a packet of...

desiccant and an "Inspected by: #4" tag?

I'm sure it does... Ron *only* deals in the
best for his customers.

They're so happy.

That would make the purchase worth $19.99.

Don't you think?

Oh, yes... It was traumatic being exposed to
55 gallon drums filled with silicon gel desiccant.

The room was very hot, too.

But, it was a *dry* heat.

13. The huge amounts of silicon gel desiccants in our nation's land fills...
is an environmental *CRISIS*!

Holy cats! We must have action.

We must bring this to the attention of clothing inspector #4!

Yes, Clothing Inspector #4 will know what to do!

He's everywhere and knows all.
