She always comes up to the fence to check out the people at the zoo :).

7. That's actually a Rhea. Ostriches have white heads and grey bodies

a Rhea comes from South America. They are all brownish color with a tuft of black feathers at the base of the neck on the males. Rheas also have a much fluffier tail :)

I've been dying to go to the Baltimore Zoo, but it's been closed for renovations. I have no idea when it will be open again either. They are behind schedule. :cry:
