Does anyone here use a Waterpik?
I have a crown with a very slight gap between it and the next tooth over. Cosmetically, it's fine, but food always gets stuck there. Flossing removes the food particles, but I have to floss so much that my gums can get irritated. I go on soft food for a couple of days and then I'm fine. I'm wondering if a Waterpik would help in cleaning that area between my teeth so that I don't have to floss so hard or after every meal.

Thanks.

1. I own one, and use it about once a week
Bought it because I hate flossing and I have a personal theory that flossing isn't as good for teeth and gums as dentists claim.

It does what it's advertised to do because I can see little specks of food in the water coming out of my mouth. I also have the tongue scraper attachment which works really well. Nothing beats the freshness of a waterpik'ed mouth.

However, I sometimes worry that the water jet is too strong and might pop out a filling. The adjustment isn't very precise and is seems either too weak or too strong.

5. I recommend this!
I used to have a terrible spot where food got stuck and I used a Waterpik everytime I ate to clean it. Floss, tape (which I find works better) just wouldn't do it. The Waterpik took care of it in an instant. And the nice thing was that it was non-irritating, as you said, and was just water! I have since gotten my tooth repaired, but I sure recommend a Waterpik as a temporary solution and just for everyday cleaning. Floss leaves behind residue while the water flushes it all out...
