What's the weirdest place you put something you found later?

I found our car keys in the fridge once.
We had looked for over an hour.
I opened the fridge for something and there they were, on the top shelf.

I showed them to Miz t.
"Where did you find them?"
"In the fridge."
"Oh. Yeah."
"How...?"
"Now I remember. I came in with the keys in my hand and opened the fridge and then the phone rang so I put the keys down and went to answer the phone."
She keeps life interesting, to say the least.

1. I found the remote control in the freeze once

I guess I was getting ice cream and sat it down. It took me forever to find the darn thing, too.

5. Miz t. washed the remote.

It was on the bed when she stripped it for the wash.
Sometimes she doesn't pay close attention to what she's doing.

I was out of town.
When she couldn't find the remote later that day, she went out and bought a new one.
She knew I'd be chapped if I got home and no remote.
Those are very important to us guys.
Our security blanket.
;-)

When she took the sheets out of the washer she found the remote.
A few days later I tried it and it worked fine.
Maybe better.
If your remote quits, try washing it.

9. Hey, thanks for the idea...

My VCR remote only works 33% of the time or so. Maybe I'll wash it!! It has to be the world's cheapest and cheesiest VCR though. The remote doesn't even have an eject button!

2. When I was on a jury

we once had a two hour lunch because the lead defense attorney couldn't find his glasses. If we were allowed to talk to him I could've told him he placed them under his paperwork. I'm sure this accident wasn't a ploy to stall for time :sarcasm:.

I returned from the store with some ice cream, and somehow my car keys ended up on top of the ice cream container. It took me hours to figure out where my keys were.

I almost posted a thread in Ask The Administrators, but that had been done before. ;)
