2. How does one capture ones desktop image?

3. Like this:

1) Hit PrtScrn on your keyboard. This places the image on the clipboard.
2) Open an image manipulation program like Photoshop and place the contents of the clipboard in your program.
3) Save the image on your HD.
4) Go to www.photobucket.com and open a free account.
5) Upload the image to your new account.
6) Place the img tag line in your post.
7) Now it's there.

I hit PrtScrn and nothing seems to happen.

should be a setting for "paste from clipboard" or "import from clipboard." It depends on what program you are using.

Hit PrtScrn then while in Paint hit Ctrl+V and it should appear. Make sure to save as a jpeg but perhaps a bmp will work.

18. I hate full desktops.

So I live with as few icons as possible on mine. I instead create folders, stuff all the desktop stuff into them, and then use the folders as toolbar menus instead. Much neater.

The photograph on the desktop was one I took about 20 years ago, at a place here in Massachusetts called World's End. It's a great place. I was converting some of my slides to digital images, so I've got some old ones that I've been looking through.
