1. I got my mortgage through Bank of America.
I had a really good mortgage broker, who walked me through everything and got on the processing center when they were dragging their feet. I would never have chose B 0f A, but they have a first time buyer's program that is really good and saved me a lot of money in PMI.

2. Which ever bank you pick, plan on having a new mortgage bank
every year or 2. I think I'm on my 5th or 6th in the last 10 years. They only issue a mortgage to get the points up front and then sell the loan as soon as they can.
