I got sprayed with gasoline today |
|
The pump did not shut off when the tank was full and the lever that holds the pump on got jammed. They had to turn off the pump from inside the station...
Needless to say I paid for a couple more gallons than I needed. :grr:

1. any cleanup crews show up? to, ya know, stop large quantities |
|
of gasoline from going down the drain
you should've reported them to the police, the fine would've been much more significant than the extra 5 bucks they got out of you

2. You could have been hurt or killed! |

Never use the cell while pumping, BTW. A spark can ignite the fumes, so I hear.
It's good to know you're o.k.

3. I was afraid to start my car after that |
|
The manager of the station was a real asshat...offered me a dollar back, and there was at least 5 dollars worth on the ground.

6. Happened to me last winter at the corner station. Needless to say, |
|
it was my last visit to the corner station. Sorry it happened to you; glad it wasn't any worse (not that that's much comfort).

8. If they didn't close down that pump... |
|
... you need to report them to the appropriate authorities. That is unhealthy and dangerous and should never happen.

things like that make me glad that I live in New Jersey. No need to leave your car when at the gas station since they pump it for you. Just have to watch out for the dishonest attendants who try to gip you out of some gas.

(Literally). It's hard to get the gas smell off of your skin. Good luck.
