I distinctly remember seeing that episode, altho I only caught the middle part of that episode. As they explained to the cheiftain at the time, Gilligina lived on the other side of the island (probably because, unlike Mrs Howell and those two lesbians, she was not a hot chick), so she really didn't show up in very many episodes before that. You never saw her again after that episode anyway, so I'm pretty sure the writers just got tired of that character and wrote her off the show.
