This one time, I saw Roger Moore on Johnny Carson's show.
And he said, "Sometimes after a day of shooting a James Bond movie, I go home, look at myself in the mirror, and loathe myself." He was serious.

He acted really depressed.

He must have really thought that acting the role of James Bond was really a disgraceful art.

1. That reminds me of a few years ago when Anthony Hopkins said
"I want to do something else with my life. I don't want to keep hanging around doing stupid things like acting...Acting is bad for one's mental health. . .It (my acting career) was a complete waste of time....I'm grateful to the business, they've paid me well, but I've had enough."

And the next thing you know, that Ed Norton/Hannibal Lecter movie is in production.

Anyway, glad he carried on.

2. It must tear into one's soul to seriously pretend one is someone else.
Never been there. Never done that.

Except for in my job, of course.
