Damned wasps!!!
Trying to wash my windows...really I am, this is not me really posting here, and the wasps won't stop boinking and poking against the windows. There is absolutely nothing on these windows of interest except for dirt and yet there they are. So I won't take them off...even though I know I'm a hundred times bigger than them and they're more frigtened of me and all that stuff. They're scary as hell.

:hi:

2. How true that is!
One time, when I was a little girl (and not at band camp), we were staying at my Aunt and Uncle's farm. A bat got in the house in the middle of the night. It was like that squirrel scene from the Great Outdoors....the way my dad and my uncle were chasing that thing around with brooms.

Thanks for the rationalization, but I still ain't taking that window off. ;) :hi:

10. Don't get the foam kind.
It does not seem to work as well for me anyway. I always try not to kill anything but at the farm the wasps and hornets :scared: are often more than I can handle and they love to come after me when I start the tractor or my truck. Diesel fuel maybe? So, because of that my hay barn has to be cleaned of them frequently.

8. Don't buy that "they're more afraid of you than you are of them" line
I was swarmed on by a nest of yellow jackets for making the mistake of getting too close to their home sweet home. Most wasp aren't so mean, but some are. :scared:

11. carefull when you start spraying them - that's when they may decide to
attack. Why worry about it? - skip the chore and let live - wasps are our friends - they eat caterpillers. Leave em alone, they aren't there because the world needs more poison sprayed into the atmosphere. Probably just after the scent in your cleaning compound or even the moisture - I know they used to arrive to sweat before it started raining where I am.

12. I'm working w/ 2 species of wasps this summer,
and luckily I haven't been stung yet. I don't know why they're banging on your window, but if you have wood anywhere nearby, they may be collecting wood pulp to expand their nests.
