Tofu jokes are NOT FUNNY!!!
:grr:

I tell people I'm an atheist, they look at me funny. I tell them I'm a liberal, and they shrug. I tell them I'm a vegetarian and they launch the apocolypse on my ass! "What's wrong with you? I couldn't give up meat? How can you kill harmless little vegetables? Vegetarians don't get enough protein! (Iron, B, fill in the blank)" yadayadayada!

Then, there are constant tofu jokes. I drop something, it's because of the tofu. My car breaks, it's made of tofu. Today someone told me I had mad tofu disease!

AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, I'm better. I just haven't had my morning cup of tofu yet. Sigh.

to tofu! -W. Churchill*

*Churchill was a double-dipper and had man-hands (not that there's anything wrong with that).

It WAS funny. It was just my snapping point. And since my boss said it, I couldn't go off on him, so... Here I am.

12. I truly don't understand the anti-vegetarian sentiments out there
Edited on Mon Aug-01-05 03:44 PM by Rabrrrrrr
live and let live. People who are otherwise people without hot buttons, fuck, ya mention you're a vegetarian and they go all ape shit, like you just anally raped the Pope on a live episode of Sesame Street while leaving a Cleveland Steamer on an open Bible while wrapped a Nazi Flag and shouting verses from the Quran.

I don't get it at all. Never have understood it. And I'm not even vegetarian, but I've suffered the slings and arrows that my vegetarian friends have had to endure.

What the fuck? WHy are people so fucking threatened by vegetarians that they have to go ape shit ballistic and treat it like a disease, or that the person's vegetarianism is more important (and irrational) to them than even breathing itself.

19. I used to mildly tease one of my co-workers about being a vegan.
I'd say incredibly clever things like: "hey Pete, I'm going out for lunch. Want me to bring you back a cheeseburger?"

Har har. Damn, I'm good. He was a Naderite too, and my teasing him over that was a little less gentle!
