Would you buy this stuff?!

(the $24.99 + tax light fixture is made of several panels of bent "milk carton" quality plastic. Catches dust very easily. Very pricey for milk carton plastic...)


(this $39.99 + tax monstrosity is acrylic. Acrylic, over time, discolors - and the brighter and closer the light means the sooner it discolors! Worse, the bottom part has a cover piece that's poorly glued in. I'm not sure why the designer created that part, it's clearly not necessary and only makes it look ugly. But for $40, I'd be expecting glass.)

Both designs look quite nice, actually. But when they hype up "Ikea quality", they're doing themselves no favors...

2. No way... you are right, it looks cheap & will discolor quickly.
