I live in the upstairs bedroom (over the garage) of a fairly large house. That 25 year old central air unit just started costing me over $300 a month in electricity! I was going to go buy a window unit for my bedroom and shut it down anyway.

Looks like I'm going window unit shopping tomorrow. ;)

Window units work pretty good these days... I have one in my garage, I have an old cat that lives in there... being in Texas she would DIE without it!!!

300 bucks a month is atrocious! I hope you get some relief soon!
