Life doesnt get any better then this..
A friend and I were talking last weekend about our growing dissatisfaction and depression in regards to the status quo of life.

I finally have reached the age where I realize that I have two paths. One path of "security", being a cog in the wheel, dissatisfaction, but "comfort"

The other path is unknown and scary.. that path is finding out who Im really supposed to be. To take a chance, to live vicariously.. to possibly fail completely.

If I dont do something, life doesnt get any better then this. It's not that it is so bad.. Im incredibly blessed with comfort on a physical plane. But deep inside, Im hibernating...And its not just about politics, or social class.. or wasted possibilities. It's about being scared to take a chance.

Maybe someday you have to accept that you really arent that great.. or learn to find joy in whatever situation you are in... but I cant help but think that there has to be something more for me out there, just one random chance away from finding me.

What is responsibility? What are life priorities? How much does money help or hinder? Is it really practical to live life like there is no tomorrow? Is Affluenza inevitable?

Inquiring minds and seeking hearts want to know.. what do you think?

1. I've been thinking some of those very same thoights.
I took my love and I took it down
Climbed a mountain then I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides
Can I handle the seasons of my life

Uh ah ... uh ah .... uh ah ...

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too

Well ...

Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too

Well, I'm getting older too

So, take this love and take it down
Yeah, and if you climb a mountain and ya turn around
And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide brought me down

If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills

Well maybe ...
Well maybe ...
Well maybe ...

The landslide will bring you down.

~ just maybe IT really IS almost Landslide time!

2. Well, at age 45 I packed up my kid, sold my house, both my cars, married
a cool french fella and moved to a small town in france to for the same reasons.

It was time to either do nothing and be stuck in the same miserable rut, watching the USA crash down around my ears, or take a HUGE risk and make a new life for us. I got nothin' to lose.

So why not? Do what makes you happy, and causes no harm. Find your bliss and along the way, great things start to happen.

3. I think those are the questions that make us human
I also think that there is a middle ground between the two states. One in which we can see to our and our families material needs without sacrificing our souls and dreams.

The tricky part is finding it. Which essentially is what life is all about.

4. I heard this many years ago
but can't name the author of this quote: "Even though you can't always do great things, you can always do small things with great love." Another quote I like is by Will Rogers: " Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."
We all feel the way you do at times. Keep yourself open to learning new things and experiencing new adventures.
