I am not scared of most bugs but these fellows have sent me running into the house before. Of course that was after about 5 good stings and a call to arms to their friends. :scared:

If I saw that thing near me I'd freak out.

18. A house centipede
One bite is all it takes to give a dime-size welt, the skin of which you end up tearing off. Still a better deal than chiggers, since they are big and slow enough to be relatively easy to squish.

21. Yikes!
On a personal note, as far as traffic goes, you would not believe the amount and density of the traffic when the road that runs through town heading up to Yosemite is being paved. It's JUST. STOPPED. for 2+ miles in every direction.

I'm from the bay area and it's as bad as I've seen it.

22. Catfish spines
Especially the young catfish
I hauled a seine of them up on the bank of a pond once, and they got mixed in the grass. I was flicking them back into the pond, and caught one in the finger. It hurt so much I saw stars!
