Does it feel like you're in a sauna?

That's a few miles from where I grew up.

19. Wow! Is that normal summer weather up there?
If so, I may need to think about moving to Oregon.

23. Yes it is
And the winter's don't get very cold either.

It's the economy that you have to watch out for in Oregon.

Its really hot now tho... and to make matters worse, the air conditioner is broken here at work so its like a sauna in the office, but you go downstairs into the theatre and its an ice box... makes me wanna go in and sit in on rehearsals.... maybe ;)

28. Where are you - Bristol Riverside? Or NY?
My SO used to die rehearsing Shakespeare on the 3rd floor of a chuch in center city PA for Philly Shakespeare. It was 110, and they were wearing heavy costumes

Hey, at least you're not wearing velvet (unless of course they're rehearsing "Oh, Calcutta", in which case the actors might be cooler then you are...)

4. Yep - hot and humid
It should be hitting 90 here in southeastern PA. They said we'd get a break for a week, but we're already hot again. Now it's August, though, so those cool nights aren't far off..

7. 98 degrees with 33% humidity
Today it's pretty hot, but it's been rather mild for the past couple of weeks where I am. It was in the low 60's yesterday morning when I got up. That's very unusual for this time of year.

9. Low 90's. Not bad--for Houston.
No predictions above 95 for the next 10 days. Possible rain--June was the dryest on record, but we've been making up for it.

Yes, it's humid.

I cannot Stand this anymore!

When are the words "cool Canadian air" going to return to our weather forecast here in the Northeast?

Autumn can't get here fast enough right now.

Oregon looks pretty good. :)

29. Let me pine with you....
I'm stuck here in the sweltering 100+ degree California Central Valley, but my parents and I own a home and stretch of land in Waldport (my parents retired onto it full time a few years ago). Every time I visit, I end up wishing I could just stay forever. Every time I come home, I think myself insane. If only there were jobs up there that matched the areas beauty.

Ah well, that's what retirement's for. Only 30 years to go...

People ask me why I didn't stay after college and I have to tell them that there's nothing to stay for.

31. I was just up there last month and actually looked for a job.
I'm a software engineer with over a decade of experience, a college instructor with degrees in multiple related fields (physics, mathematics, computer science), and my wife is an elementary school teacher.

The only job we could find for her involved taking orders at one of the town restaraunts for minimum wage. My prospects were a bit better...I had the option of fixing PC's for $7 an hour, part time, at a tiny ISP, or commuting two hours a day roundtrip to OSU in Corvallis down a windy and dark two lane mountain highway notorious for deer strikes and blind curves.

I love Oregon, but the economy absolutely sucks. I understand that it's improving in Portland, but IMO Portland is just LA with more trees...no thanks.
