10. Sorry, I thought you were a guy!
Many guys have perennial BO because they don't shave the pits.

Didn't mean to insult.

4. I like the Avon
On Duty 24 it's inexpensive and it works. I used to have to switch all the time too because my Anti-perspirant quit woking. The On Duty by Avon has been the only thing that has worked consistantly. I buy 5 or 6 at a time when it's on sale for 1.49. I've used it fro about 10 years now and it still works.

6. Dove
I think deoderant is like shampoo you need to switch evey so often. I used secret for years and then this summer it wasn't working as well.

14. Dove gets my vote, too.
It's really soft & gentle for just-shaved underarms.

7. Try mowing or kmowing your lawn,
That scent of freshly mowed lawn hides virtually anything.

8. For the love of all things Holy
Don't buy the regular scented Secret. That stuff is sooo nasty.

I mean, I'll probably never meet you and even if I did it would be irrelevent, but for the general happiness of those around you, please avoid at all costs

9. Be careful about the aluminum content in some anti-perspirants
There are those who say that the aluminum found in some anti-perspriants is harmful, as it can be absorbed into the skin.

I use only deodorants (as opposed to anti-perspirants). I like Speed Stick or even Old Spice. I also like those body sprays like Axe available at most drugstores.

13. Do you mean this toxin du jour? (Status: Undetermined)
From www.snopes2.com:

http://www.snopes.com/toxins/breast.htm

<snip>
Recent research in this area has been contradictory. In 2002 a study led by Dana K. Mirick, an epidemiologist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, confirmed that there was no link between breast cancer and anti-perspirants. Her study, published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute, examined the personal hygiene habits of 813 women with breast cancer and 793 women without the disease, and found no correlation between cancer and the use of body odor control cosmetics.

In 2004, Dr. Kris McGrath, a Chicago allergist, performed a study published in the European Journal of Cancer Prevention which he claims is the first to find a connection between antiperspirants, underarm shaving, and cancer. He studied 400 Chicago-area breast cancer survivors and found that women "who performed these underarm habits more aggressively" had a diagnosis of breast cancer 22 years earlier than the non-users and theorized that substances found in deodorants such as aluminum chlorohydrate were entering the lymphatic system through nicks in the skin caused by shaving. Other specialists have expressed skepticism in the statistical weaknesses of Dr. McGrath's retrospective study.

15. Exactly. Also, some people say that alum. contributes to Alzheimers
insofar as it seems to promote some kind of scarring in brain tissue. Since your skin is porous and absorbs chemicals and elements from the environment, just put 2 and 2 together.

17. If you're into the natural/organic thing,
try Kiss My Face roll on deodorant. It contains no anti-perspirant, and is made from salt. It has a nice lavender scent. Works for me.

18. I used to like Mitchum
before I switched to Ban rollon. At some point in my life, I ended up with an intolerance for one of the main ingredients in "newer" deodorants/anti-perspirants. I began breaking out every time I used one of them. Now I can use only Ban or something natural, like St. Ives Vitamin E. I think it's hormonal, or a latent allergy.
