And let me tell you, this is one very impoverished country...they really need our tourist dollars. The poverty was visible even from the roads...

It was cool....and hot all at once! I never sweated like that before in my life...

Absolutely....a most interesting place, IMHO...we had a police escort throughout our stay...I think to protect us from them...but all was quiet, and we had NO problems at all...A lot of curious stares, though...

I take students on trips every summer to Europe and the tour company is going to give me a free vacation for two as compensation for all the business I've brought them. I have it narrowed down to Greece or Italy. You're photos are persuading me toward Greece, if that's where they are. Am I correct?

Due to my newness at downloading digital pics (I had to wait till I got home, and they all went at once!), I don't know which ones are truly Greece. We did see a great many wonderful places in Greece...you can't go wrong there...The Acropolis in Athens is worth a trip all by itself.
