PHOENIX - An Arizona National Guardsman serving in Iraq has been demoted for posting classified information on his Internet Web log, an Army official said Monday.

Leonard Clark, 40, was demoted from specialist to private first class and fined $1,640, said Col. Bill Buckner, a spokesman for the Multi-National Corps-Iraq.

Good call making him a spokesman, too: can't very well have him out on the front lines handling hand grenades, can we?

Edit: If it isn't him :-) , don't you think he'd call himself "William" Buckner or something?

5. But see, Gould couldn't have titled that "Jim Bowie's Letter and
Calvin Schiraldi's Ragarm", now could he? :-)

That may have actually solved one of the enduring mysteries of last year's short but sweet Series: no, not what became of the Cards' lineup, but why the Busch scoreboard flashed "Thanks Cards for a great 2004 season" during the climactic Game 4. I had forgotten (blocked out?) the "Congratulations Red Sox" at Shea; perhaps the Cards wsre attempting a last-ditch hex on the Sox?
