I LOVE Coltrane's "Favorite Things" from the Japan CD, *except*
Most times I really don't want to listen to the 15 minute bass introduction, and my CD player fast forward function only goes about twice as fast as real time, so even to fast forward through it still takes seven minutes.

ARGH!!!!

I can't believe they recorded the song as one track. It really should be in two.

I can see now that I'm gonna have to rip it, split it, and make a new CD.

5. Oh, sure - and not to say that the bass part isn't fucking awesome,
but most times, I don't want to listen to it.

I'm not a big fan of bass solos. Something about the timbre of a solo bass bothers me.

Not enough people use that word. Used to hear a lot in my theory classes, of course, but outside of music, no one really used it. And my choral director doesn't use it - he likes to talk about the "tone quality" or something like that.

I like the word timbre!!

But then, I'm a musician first, singer second.

And I bet YOU pronounce the word correctly, too!!
