3. Saw sugar holders on ebay.
They weren't real pricey, either.

5. Spiritscorner has a deal
3 absynthe glasses, one bottle Pernod 68, 3 absynthe spoons and a water bottle (for pouring the water over the sugar) for 70-something Euros

11. a little expensive, but not bad...
...I would likely spend that much cash on good Cognac or Scotch but that's just me.

Didn't know Pernod was still available. Most people tout the Czech stuff, but I haven't touched the stuff since 1973.

13. I'm a fan of the Czech stuff
But the main problem with the Czech stuff is it takes months to get here. French and Spanish Absynthes arrive quicker.

The Czech stuff is more bitter, more biting and stronger in general.

The Spanish stuff is really sweet, the French stuff being a little less sweet.

My favorite brand is Fruko Shulz from the Czech Republic, but Absynthe Original is good too...

14. A friend of mine makes real absinthe
WITH wormwood. He's been at it for a few years and the booze just keeps getting better as he refines the recipe and his technique. Lovely stuff, though I've never had the nerve to try more than two glasses over two hours. Rich, mellow and not overly licorice-y :9
