THERE is a god, girls. The bottom has finally fallen out of the thong market.

Sales have fallen by 17 per cent in a year, showing that women are finally turning their backs on the most hideous piece of lingerie since the chastity belt.Tarty, unsightly and like straddling a piece of cheese wire, this sadistic piece of underwear has finally been rejected in favour of more comfortable alternatives.
This ridiculous excuse for a pair of knickers should have remained confined to the strip clubs they came from way back in the 1930s.
But sadly the torture device re-emerged on the beaches of Brazil in 1977 when fashion designer Rudi Gernreich introduced the first bikini thong.

It could only have been invented by a man. No woman could ever have conceived that wearing a small triangle of material attached to a piece of string threaded between the buttocks could be a good idea.
They've as much class as Jodie Marsh, who incidentally was, and remains, one of the thong's biggest fans.

And as far as my ass 'looking good' in it, I usually don't run around outside in my frickin' underwear in the first place.

Thongs make for cleaner lines under clothes, in my opinion. I find them more comfortable, actually.

And thongs being bad for you? Yeah, if you're wearing synthetic fabric, and perhaps a size or two too small. That goes for any kind of underwear. DUH. Stick to mostly cotton fabric, and wear underwear that fits you comfortably... doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.
