What can I do with catnip?

I've got a lot of catnip, and I know she likes it, but what can I do with it to make it easy for her to play with it? She likes to rub up against the plastic bag. She goes crazy doing that, but she's got claws and teeth so that's not going to last and I have to take it away from her. I've also got a whole plast tup full of catnip. So my question is, what can I use to make the catnip fun, yet keep it clean (and safe, of course), for my cat? Any ideas?

1. I knew someone that made pillows out of it for their cats

The cats LOVED it.

2. Put it in a sock.

Tie the end it in a knot.

Send left over catnip to the Pandas.

3. Make catnip sachets out of a scrap of old clothing

My cats LOVE those. If you have even the slightest sewing ability it's very easy and takes just a few minutes.

I have a cat that chows down on catnip and I go through a tub in about 2 months. I also have it growing outside. He likes both. He's a catnipaholic.

...catnip in. They love those. You can also sew it up in pieces of felt and sew on a few bells for added fun. Be sure to sew the bells on well so your kitty doesn't tear them off and choke on them.

It got cats high so we experimented with it. All I can remember is vomiting from it.

11. You can buy these little furry mice

at almost any pet store, which have an opening in the top where you can put catnip and close it. They love going for that. :)

I'm going to be using catnip in some of the homemade soap I'm doing. It will be combined with valerian to wash your kits with, if you can get to wash them at all!!

12. Is that stuff safe?

I mean, catnip is basically a narcotic for cats, right? Is there not a danger of addiction?

I'm being serious here. Because of allergies, I don't own a cat and probably never will, so I concede that I don't truly understand the issue. But from where I sit, we've already done enough damage to cats through centuries of brainwashing and selective breeding. Do we really need to string them out, too?
