Here's one...

I'm twice Scott's age, and he and I used to discuss MM. Brian (MM) actually took a class I taught in FLA in the late 80s...

Scott could handle anything... Dean, DLC, Philip K. Dick, he was a master guide to the media, on top of just about everything!!!

39. I got to spend time with him in person twice,

once in December 2001 when davsand invited DUers to our house for a weekend, and then at Fun Day at 5thGenDemocrat's the following June. Both times we spent literally hour after hour after hour talking about popular culture and politics and philosophy and people. It felt like we'd known each other all our lives. I still have a couple of books and a video he loaned me. We kept talking about getting together again. There was this Halloween party that he wanted to throw, but it never quite got there. I can't believe how much I miss him. This is actually the first time I've been able to bring myself to even talk about it.
