I think Alton Brown of FoodTV is a liberal.
I am watching him right now, and he showed a bottle of worcestershire sauce. It is clearly Heinz Brand from the label, but since labels are generally covered up on these shows, the Heinz name is covered. The "fake" name you ask: Kerry

1. I would like to think he is a liberal, too.
He is way too analytical to fall for moronic, bullshit political generalizations.

B-)

21. Not sharing your love for
Rachael Ray, I think Alton Brown is the ONLY one worth watching on the Food Network. I'd add Mario Batali, but I don't think he's making any new shows.

pretty awful.

30. I like it. It's a showcase for Jim's personality, and...
I like that it's usually fun junk food.

He also does All-American Festivals, but it's not quite as fun.

I have two Alton Brown cookbooks on my kitchen counter at this very moment.

"More Food" is about baking.

16. I managed to get an autographed copy.
However, I didn't realize he was in town, or I'd have had mine personalized. As it is, it just has a sticker with his "AB" on it.

Baking, eh? Hmmm...I'm not much of a baker, but his stuff is so easy.

9. or at least his design staff is...
Did you see the first episode of Tony Bourdain's new series, "Without Reservations"? Called "Why the French Don't Suck," it was filled with plenty of barbs about the American lifestyle as opposed to the French.

15. He HAS to be a liberal
He's talented, very intelligent, thoughtful, creative, an actor and writer, and has a logical scientific mind. There is no freaking way he is not a liberal.

if he turned out to be a conservative I'd be so sad. But I agree with you. Way too smart and cool to NOT be liberal.

19. Are there conservative chefs?
You have to care about others, that they have a great experience, even if you don't get to see them enjoy it,or even there to get praise.

24. I wouldn't be too surprised if Rocco whateverthehellhisnameis is a repub
You know. The one from that restaurant reality show they used to have. Anyone that full of himself probably votes conservative.

I used to wonder if Bobby Flay was, but upon further reflection he's just yer garden-variety workaholic. Workaholics don't seem to pay much attention to politics unless they're *in* politics...
