It's a pairing that will give a whole new meaning to the phrase "pimp my ride." And it's also one that's bound to spark controversy.
Chrysler is teaming up with rapper Snoop Dogg to help sell cars.
The rapper, producer and hip-hop icon appears with Chrysler icon Lee Iacocca in a new ad for the U.S. automaker. They pretend to be golfing buddies.
As was the case when Ludacris began doing ads for Pepsi, it's likely there will be some people put off by Snoop's R-rated lyrics and constant references to sex, drinking and drugs.
But it's also seen as a way for Chrysler to get a stronger foothold in the urban market.
Last year, Snoop called the car company's current chief and asked him to hook him up with one of Chrysler's new 300-C sedans.
