Teeth Tar for my 7 year old new furrbaby

Is there something I can do OR must this be done professionally by a VET?

1. Teeth tar? What do you mean? You can brush your pets teeth or

give them bones bones bones bones.

We adopted an older golden with hideous teeth and she wouldn't let me brush them. We felt the anethesia risk was too much (she was not in great health) for a professional clenaing, so we gave her lots of bones. It helped.

Raw hide, knuckle bones, or just go to the butcher -- the some big beef bones and boil them a bit at home.

Greenies are suppose to help but I've found htat the digestive distress tehy cause is not worth it -- some people swear by them.

I was finally able to use a wash cloth with some doggie toothpaste on it. She hated it but was tolerant.

3. Oooh can't help you there -- they don't chew much do they?

Might want to try the wash cloth though -- be very careful. Hurts when they bite you.

4. i give mine tarter control treats.

i hope to ward off any problems in the future. i don't want to even try to clean their teeth. i kind of like having fingers.

5. Professionally. Cats need anesthesia when they scrape their tooth tartar.

You can brush furbaby's teeth after that to keep tartar under control.
