I love Dollar stores!!!
I wanted to clean my apartment from top to bottom, front to back, and I had run out of stuff like 409, windex, bowl cleaner and scrubbing bubbles. I found a dollar store on my train route to my temp job, so I decided to go there for products instead of Target and spending god knows how much. I got every cleaning product known to man, plus a new broom and mop for $26.00.

I am now obsessed. I will not pay full price for stuff that will just go down the drain. The Columbian version of scrubbing bubbles works just as well as the american version. It is actually the same product for about three dollars less!

3. There's a Dollar Store walking distance from my house
I never think to go in. I always end up buying cleaning stuff at the grocery store. Now that you mention it, I pay way too much at the grocers for cleaning items.

The Dollar Store it is from now on.

6. Dollar Tree is the Best....
Everything in the store is exactly one dollar. If you are lucky, you can even find name brand products that have been discontinued. I have never bought food there, because I would be afraid of how old it is, but their cleaning products, candles, gift bags, paper products and other odds and ends are so fantastic.

4. I do too!
They're jam-packed full of things you need everyday. I love their soups. For a midwestern guy who hasn'tpartaken of authentic clam chowder Dollar General has the best chowder I've had to date.
And they sell GOO GOO's too.

5. LOL... I love them too.
Although if you clean with ammonia or vinegar or bleach, you can mix your own cleaners (they are healthier too) and it will still cost you less.

One guy who cracks me up is Haley who wrote a book called Haley's Hints. His mixtures of cleaners that are natural and cheap actually work ten times better than most things you can buy. You should check it out.

8. I love dollar stores but there are some things I won't buy there
One unusually cold and rainy summer day I wore an outfit that had been washed in dollar store deteregent and ended up with a nasty rash on most of my body. For the next hot and humid week I had to be covered up because of it.

10. Good Detergent is one of my indulgences.
My skin is so sensitive that even some regular known national brands cause me to break out.

9. a person could eat and sometimes quite well
at the dollar stores here in sacramento. they have a freezer and a fresh food section in the front with all KINDS of produce. if your money is tight this is the place to go.

this is one of the results of nafta, imo.
