Just got it running on this system, pretty nice so far. Anyone else out there posting from a solaris 10 system (or any solaris system for that matter....)?

1. I've got the system but decided to go with Fedora 4 Linux instead |
|
No real reason other than I just wanted to test Fedora 4.

two e450's and a 420r, so Solaris seemed the natural choice (plue we use that at work mainly). 10 is pretty good so far, hope to delve into more. GAIM comes standard with it which is nice and little configuration and it was up and running in no time.
How is Fedora? Have not went that route yet but have some spare servers i can fire it up on.

3. Fedora Seems solid - drivers all work well - even for odd ball stuff |
|
I have not given it a real test yet.
Seems much faster than XP-64 (and XP-64 can not be an upgrade - so it is reinstall all programs - many of which break in 64 bit mode even with the 32 bit XP-64 run programs)
I love Sun software - rock solid when I have used it - but I am at the nap time of my worklife - so these things get played with rather than tested!
:-)
