7. Karla Homolka
I think Laura Prepon dyed her hair for a movie she just completed.

Redhead, good. Brunette, good. Blonde, in most cases: BAD. Not to mention really overdone. Walk away from the peroxide solution, girls. Please.

25. OF COURSE, ANTICOUP!!!! Oh, you are good.
After all, since Hollywood's all about churning out TV shows as bad movies, I'd be so surprised if "Diff'rent Strokes" wasn't in the works.

10. Leave people alone
They are free to have the hair color which they choose.

Frankly, I think we should concentrate on more important things.

14. You see, this is what I'm saying
There should be more government oversight concerning celebrity hair color. These girls go around recklessly changing their hair color, and they SHOULD be held accountable.

</sarcasm>

OF COURSE I know they're free to change their hair color... I'm just saying I liked it the other way.

As to more important things... GD is a great place for those. There are very few really important things discussed in the lounge.

35. I'm a blonde too. I was born that way.
I never colored my hair until I was 31, when my blonde started getting drab dishwatery. I've been a blonde my whole life! I tried red hair after my son was born, and I just didn't look like me.

They all looked so much better as redheads. Now they look like every other cheapassed blonde-in-a-box.

Oh well! Probably later on, they'll look back at this period of haircolor and say, "what the fuck was I thinking?!"

19. Yeah I don't get it either
I feel the same way about brunettes going blonde. For the most part, I think people look best with their natural hair color and should just keep it real. Just IMHO, of course...

22. they're actress who want to work
redheds often get cast as the fringe characters. (the best friend, the quirky coworker etc.) When directors think leading lady, especially in big budget movies, they generally want very blonde and very skinny.

These women aren't stupid, they know the demands of their business.

31. and people often criticized her casting
skinny blondes do get more work. Look at brittany murphy for a prime example.

the skinny blonde thing isn't as important if you're being cast as a child or teenager (laura prepon, lindsay lohan) but for adult roles it is.

24. My hair is more red than blonde.
When I lighten it, it just gets redder. I think anyone who has had that frustrating experience is tempted to use a dampener to completely nix the red. But it just looks wrong, it doesn't match the skin tone.

by high school I was takin' boy friends away from the blondes who had made fun of red hair and freckles.......
I guess gentlemen DO NOT prefer blondes...

I have a scottish heritage and my beau, the commie (who i also swept away from a blonde), loves to say "you'da scared the hell out of some romans."

PS... I out grew the freckles

30. Maybe they want to be blond?
I sometimes get the urge to change my hair color for something different. I'm sure celebrities have different pressures dictating what they do with their hair, but I don't have a problem with it. I'm certainly not going to run out and dye my hair red because that seems to be what more men prefer.

Sure looks like a rocket scientist. If her dad divorces his wife, is she still his sister? She should be doing duets with that kid in Deliverance.

34. I do the other way around
My hair is naturally sandy blonde, and I dye it red. Sometimes I put blonde streaks in the red.

Red is just so much more colorful than my mousy blonde.
