Ever since I've been a tot everytime I eat shrimp or whiting fish I puke my guts out, is this common and is there any way to overcome this?

2. There's a pretty simple solution
but you've probably already figured it out. :) I've been told that my FIL was like this - he finally ended up in the hospital and hasn't had shellfish since. (Or was this just another movie quote?)

6. To paraphrase the Big Dog, I feel your pain!
I've loved seafood all my life, but in recent months it's either made me break out in hives, or swell up my feet so goddamned bad that I can't even put on shoes. The thought of avoiding it for the rest of my life really sucks, and I hope that's somehow not the case. But for now, it seems to be the lame reality of it :(
