It's my personal favorite Dream Theater album and the album that got me into the band.

Those guys rock. One of the best prog-metal bands EVER.

Lately, though, I've been trying to hear more of the ambient, post-rock metal bands like Isis and Pelican. Pelican definitely has listened to a few DT albums, you can hear it in their use of chord progressions.

7. We have a station in town that plays it once in a while..

...on their late-night metal show. The songs are usually long, though, and don't translate well to radio. I'm digging what little I'm hearing, though.

Scenes or Train of Thought as complete albums, but I think a few songs on Images and Words beat anything else they have done since. I voted for Train of Thought just because it isn't doing that well. It is a bit metal for my tastes, but one of the best albums for driving that I own.
