2. i got dive-bombed by a bat the other night

i was sitting out on the patio at my mother's house, which faces a woody ravine. we oftentimes see deer walking through there at twilight, when they feed. of course, the mosquitos and bats also come out then, too, so it gets interesting.

i was playing my guitar and a bat kept swooping down on me, and veering away about five feet in front of my face. that was some wild stuff!

i was capo'ed at the 3rd fret, playing an F-like figure on the 2nd fret down-- it was some flamenco-type stuff, very modal and 'eastern' sounding. maybe that's what set those bats off. either that or they were chomping on the skeeters that were flying around my head.
